Why "hustling"
I named this studio The Hustling Copywriter, and I've had the conversation about that word more than once. Read one way, hustling sounds like grind-culture noise — side-hustle energy, urgency as a personality. That's not what I mean by it, and I'd rather say so plainly than dress the word up in something safer.
Hustling, here, means the work you don't see: the fourth draft after the third one still wasn't quite right. The paragraph I wrote, then read out loud, then cut, then rewrote before it ever reached your page. The research that never shows up in the finished copy but is the reason the copy is specific instead of generic. That's hustle — not energy you're supposed to take on faith, but labor you can actually point to.
You'll see that idea show up literally on this site: a struck-through phrase next to the one that replaced it. That's not a design flourish. That's what the fourth draft looks like, made visible instead of hidden.
I work directly with the businesses that hire me — you're not handed off to an account manager or a junior writer once the invoice clears. You send a brief, I write it, you tell me what's off, I fix it. That's the whole process, stated plainly instead of dressed up as a "proven methodology."
The studio is based in Aurora, Illinois, and works with businesses across the US, remotely, by email and by call when a call actually helps.
How the studio works
- Direct brief, direct answer — no discovery call required to find out what something costs.
- Priced work, stated upfront — the price is on the page before you talk to anyone.
- Revision is built in, not billed as a surprise — every package states its included rounds before you buy.
- One writer, one point of contact — the person who writes your copy is the person who answers your email.
- Say no when it's not a fit — the qualifier on every service page runs both ways.
